This section describes the workflow for preparing bag models in Blender for use in WANNA 3D Viewer. Follow these steps to ensure correct dimensions, appearance, and compatibility with extended Viewer functionality. Use the WANNA Blender add-on that streamlines preparing handbag models for the 3D Viewer.
1. Geometry Creation
- Create the base bag geometry using your preferred 3D modelling software. Here you can find the list of software recommended by WANNA: 3D Modelling Production Pipeline and Recommended Software
2. Texturing
- Texture the model in Adobe Substance 3D Painter. Apply the WANNA Shader and use recommended environment maps to ensure correct rendering results.
3. Sample Scene Import
- Download and open the appropriate sample Blender file:
- Import your prepared model into the respective sample scene.
4. Scene Setup
- Adjust the following elements to align with WANNA requirements:
- Dimensions
- Planes with baked ambient occlusion (AO)
A step-by-step video tutorial demonstrates this process (using a small bag as an example). The workflow for large bags is almost identical.
5. Scene Cleanup
- Remove all guide objects from the Blender scene before export.
6. Export
- Export the final model in glTF format.
Important Notes
This workflow is supported only in Blender 2.93 LTS, 3.3 LTS, and later versions. Older Blender versions are not compatible and should not be used. See the software version recommended by WANNA: 3D Modelling Production Pipeline and Recommended Software
