Release 2.5.0

Release date: 2023-04-06

New Features and Improvements

Known Issues and Workarounds

  • On some devices, the technology doesn’t work due to the limitations of TensorFlow and ThreeJS.
Workaround. Handle errors thrown by the init() method using try...catch statement. The code sample provided together with the SDK can be used as the reference implementation.
  • On all devices (android, iOS, desktop), textures of the model periodically break and the model is displayed in black.
Important! There could still be cases when the textures become black. The percentage is low in comparison with the initial error distribution. So these cases will be fixed with future versions.

Release 2.4.1

Release date: 2023-01-24

Fixed

  • Low quality of a snapshot
The quality of VTO snapshots was fixed to match the actual VTO quality. See the screenshots below.

  • On some footwear, holes can appear in the place where meshes intersect (if several meshes are used).
Workaround. Upload such footwear into the Studio without an inner stub.
Important! This workaround won’t work for loafers, ballerinas, etc.

Release 2.4

Release date: 2023-01-13

New Features

  • Wrist measurement tool for watches

The size of the watch face in relation to the user’s wrist is one of the most important factors for the user when selecting a watch. Starting from this release WANNA SDK for Web provides an easy way to measure the user’s wrist size, enabling the user to virtually try on the watch models that match that size better.
The idea is quite simple. For each watch style, several 3D models should be available. They should represent different standard wrist sizes - contact your Customer Success manager for more information. The developer needs to integrate the wrist measurement tool and call it before launching the VTO. So the user can measure the wrist size manually with the help of the WANNA wrist measurement tool. Then, the VTO should launch a watch model that matches the resulting wrist size better. As a result, the user will see the watch face resized correctly to match the wrist.
WANNA wrist measurement tool takes into account the biological characteristics of individuals and limits the minimum available wrist sizes.
The following video demonstrates how this feature works:

Fixed

  • Cameras behavior in 3D Viewer
This release introduces a number of fixes for better POI setup for the 3D Viewer:
    • FOV and aspect ratio
Starting from this release the WANNA technology ignores the aspect ratio and FOV set for a model. Instead of it uses default values.
    • Support for different Blender versions
The previous versions of the 3D Viewer were optimized for Blender 2.92 and 2.93. However, models exported from Blender 3.x appeared in the wrong way even when they were developed in compliance with the WANNA specification. Starting from this release the behavior was fixed. 3D Viewer correctly displays models created with Blender of different versions.
  • Safari 15.7 support
This release fixes Safari 15.7 support for both virtual try-on and 3D Viewer.

  • The photo taken by Web SDK has lower quality in comparison with the VTO
